Sunset Bowling Center, located at 5852 Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, California, opened on May 29, 1939, boasting 52 lanes, making it one of the largest bowling alleys of its time. The grand opening featured numerous celebrities, including avid bowler Harold Lloyd. The building, originally part of the Warner Brothers Studio complex, was repurposed into a sports center in the late 1930s. The bowling center operated until the spring of 1954, after which the property was sold to Paramount's television station, KTLA. Today, the site remains a significant part of Hollywood's entertainment history. This design is part of our retro bowling alley nostalgia collection, celebrating the vintage defunct bowling alleys of yesteryear. Printed on our super soft 3/4 sleeve baseball style raglan T-Shirt.
