The Showboat Hotel and Casino, opened on September 3, 1954, was a prominent fixture on the north end of the Boulder Strip in Las Vegas. Initially struggling, it found success under Joe Kelley's management, who introduced a bowling alley in 1959, making it a hub for bowling enthusiasts and hosting nationally televised PBA tournaments. Over the years, the Showboat expanded, adding hotel towers and amenities, becoming a favorite among locals and tourists. In 2000, it was sold and renamed the Castaways, but faced financial difficulties, leading to its closure on January 29, 2004. The building was demolished in 2006, marking the end of an era for this historic Las Vegas landmark. Printed on our super soft ring-spun & combed cotton unisex T-Shirt.
