The La Concha Motel, located at 2955 Las Vegas Boulevard South, opened in 1961 and closed in 2004. Designed by architect Paul Revere Williams, it was an iconic example of Googie architecture. The motel was named after the resort community of La Concha, Spain. In 2006, the distinctive lobby was relocated to serve as the Neon Museum's visitor center, preserving a piece of Las Vegas history.
