Kona Lanes, located at 2699 Harbor Boulevard in Costa Mesa, California, opened in 1958 and became a beloved landmark of mid-century Tiki culture. Known for its iconic Googie architecture and Polynesian-inspired design, it featured 40 lanes, a game room, and the lively Outrigger Room lounge. Over its 45 years, it hosted countless leagues, tournaments, and family gatherings. Despite efforts to preserve it, Kona Lanes closed in 2003 and was later demolished. This design is part of our retro bowling alley nostalgia collection, celebrating the vintage defunct bowling alleys of yesteryear.
