The Hawaiian Cottage, located on Route 38 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, was a beloved Polynesian-themed restaurant that operated from 1938 until 1978. Renowned for its distinctive pineapple-shaped dome and vibrant tropical decor. Guests were treated to authentic luau shows, complete with hula dancers and traditional Hawaiian music, creating an immersive island experience. The restaurant also featured unique dining areas, such as the "Geisha Room," and offered souvenir mugs, including parrot-shaped designs, which have become cherished collectibles. Tragically, the Hawaiian Cottage was destroyed by a fire on July 1, 1978, and the site is now occupied by an Olive Garden. Despite its closure, the Hawaiian Cottage remains a fond memory for many and a symbol of mid-century America's fascination with Polynesian culture. This design is part of our vintage retro collection, celebrating the defunct golden era tiki bars of yesteryear. Printed on our warm & cozy unisex hoodie (hooded sweatshirt). We print & ship all of our high quality graphic hoodies in the USA.
