The Fabulous Flamingo Hotel opened on December 26, 1946, as one of the first true luxury resorts on the Las Vegas Strip. Originally financed by mobster Bugsy Siegel, it was designed to bring Hollywood-style glamour to the desert with pink neon, lush gardens, and a tropical theme. The resort quickly became a playground for high-rollers, celebrities, and infamous underworld figures. In the 1950s, the Flamingo expanded under new management, adding lavish amenities and becoming a hotspot for headliners like Pearl Bailey and Sammy Davis Jr. By the early 1960s, it was officially renamed "The Fabulous Flamingo" to emphasize its stylish appeal. Despite ownership changes and renovations, the original Flamingo buildings were demolished in 1993, closing the chapter on its golden era. This design is part of our vintage retro collection, celebrating the defunct golden era Las Vegas venues of yesteryear. Printed on our warm & cozy heavyweight unisex sweatshirt. We print & ship all of our high quality graphic sweatshirts in the USA.
