The El Rancho Hotel and Casino, originally opened as the Thunderbird in 1948, was a prominent fixture on the Las Vegas Strip. After several ownership and name changes, it was rebranded as the El Rancho in 1982, adopting a Western theme reminiscent of the original El Rancho Vegas. Despite efforts to modernize and expand, including the addition of a 13-story hotel tower in 1988, the El Rancho struggled to compete with newer mega-resorts and ultimately closed its doors on July 6, 1992. The property remained vacant for several years before being demolished in 2000 to make way for new developments. This design is part of our vintage retro collection, celebrating the defunct golden era Las Vegas venues of yesteryear. Printed on our warm & cozy unisex hoodie (hooded sweatshirt).
