Clairemont Bowl, located in San Diego, California, opened its doors in 1957 and quickly became the area's premier entertainment destination. Featuring 52 lanes, it was renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and community engagement. The Quad Room, an on-site lounge, offered live music and dancing, hosting notable acts like Gary Puckett and the Union Gap, who signed their contract with Columbia Records there. In 1964, bowler Don Anderson achieved the alley's first perfect 300 game, a significant milestone at the time. Despite its popularity, Clairemont Bowl closed in 2005, marking the end of an era for local bowling enthusiasts.
