The Cairo Egyptians were a minor league baseball team from Cairo, Illinois, active intermittently between 1897 and 1948. They competed in leagues such as the Central League and the Kentucky–Illinois–Tennessee League (KITTY League). In 1914, under manager Jack Herbert, the Egyptians secured the KITTY League championship with a 77–46 record. Despite their eventual dissolution, they remain a notable part of Illinois's rich baseball history.
