The Algiers Hotel opened on November 25, 1953, at 2845 South Las Vegas Boulevard, serving as a 110-room sister property to the adjacent Thunderbird hotel and casino. Known for its Arabian/Persian-themed architecture, the Algiers retained much of its original design throughout its operation, offering guests a glimpse into the classic Las Vegas era. Despite the city's rapid modernization, the Algiers remained largely unchanged, providing a nostalgic experience for its visitors. The hotel closed on August 31, 2004, and was subsequently demolished to make way for new developments.
