The Aladdin Hotel and Casino, which opened on April 1, 1966, brought an Arabian Nights theme to the Las Vegas Strip. Its grand opening featured flower petals falling from the ceiling, welcoming guests into a world of luxury and entertainment. After financial struggles, the original Aladdin closed in 1997 and was demolished in 1998. A new Aladdin resort opened on the same site in 2000, but it too faced challenges and was eventually rebranded as Planet Hollywood in 2007.
