Bowlium, located at 4365 North Sheridan Road in Chicago, Illinois, was a notable bowling alley that opened its doors in 1941. Designed with 30 lanes arranged in a single, unobstructed line, it offered a clear view for spectators, enhancing the bowling experience. The venue also featured Helsing's Vodvil Lounge, a restaurant and burlesque nightclub with a capacity of 325 patrons, adding to its allure as a comprehensive entertainment destination. Operating 24 hours a day, Bowlium quickly became a favored spot for local bowling enthusiasts and social gatherings. After several decades of operation, the establishment closed in the 1970s. Today, the site has been repurposed and is now occupied by a different establishment.
