This Japanese baseball club was established in 1935 by the Hanshin Electric Railway Company as one of Japan's pioneering professional baseball teams. After 1936, they quickly becoming a formidable force in Japanese baseball. The team secured multiple championships during the single-league era from 1936 to 1949.
