Billingsley's Outrigger, located at 1465 South Coast Boulevard in Laguna Beach, California, was a beloved Polynesian-themed restaurant and tiki bar that opened in January 1960 at the Surf & Sand Hotel. It was owned by Glenn Billingsley, a prominent restaurateur and the former husband of Barbara Billingsley, best known for her role as June Cleaver on Leave It to Beaver. While Barbara wasn’t directly involved in the business, her name added a touch of Hollywood buzz to the venue. The Outrigger offered South Seas cuisine, tropical cocktails crafted by legendary bartender Popo Galsini, and live Hawaiian entertainment. Though it eventually closed, it remains a fond memory for tiki lovers and mid-century coastal California culture.
